Stress Management Competencies
What are the Stress Management Competencies and how can they be used to prevent and reduce stress?
The Stress Management Competencies are a set of management skills, abilities and behaviours that have been shown to help managers in preventing and reducing stress at work.
Research carried out by Occupational Psychologists at Goldsmiths, University of London and Affinity Health at Work led to the development of a Stress Management Competency Framework with 4 core competencies and 12 sub-competencies. Associated tools and management development interventions have been developed that organizations can use to up-skill their line managers and reduce the risk of work-related stress.
We are currently organizing Roadshows right across the UK, which will provide much more information on the Competencies, associated tools and applications. Please check out our events page where you can register for confirmed events.
