Work Positive Survey Tool (a fully web-enabled, online survey tool)
Work Positive is a stress risk management tool that was launched in Scotland in 2002. It was developed by Psychologist, Rebecca Lancaster, for use in Scottish workplaces to assess and manage stress risks at work. Its development was funded by Health Scotland (now NHS Health Scotland).
Scotland has been at the forefront of workplace health promotion for many years. Workplaces are seen by the Scottish Government as an important place to promote messages about positive health. Numerous Scottish organizations have used Work Positive to help them address stress issues as part of their Scottish Healthy Working Lives Award scheme (formerly the Scotland's Health at Work Award scheme).
After the launch of the HSE Management Standards in 2004, the HSE Management Standards question set was integrated into Work Positive, which now contains the Indicator Tool's 35 stress questions along with another set of questions examining wider workplace wellbeing. This includes one open question to generate qualitative data (comments).
This powerful survey tool, which is free to use, has recently been web enabled and is now available to organizations as an online tool. You can find out more at the Healthy Working Lives website. Support is available to Scottish organizations who wish to use the tool.
If your organization is outside of Scotland, you can still use the tool, but you will need some additional, expert support.
Work Positive is an excellent tool, fully automated and easy to use. If your organization is interested in using the tool and would like to discuss support options, please contact us by phone (see the footer below) or email.
Below you'll find a checklist in Word format that will be helpful if you want to use Work Positive (in fact. this checklist is useful for any survey related to stress or wellbeing at work).
